Today was our day to explore New York. We purchased a big red bus ticket and made our way down to the harbour. The American upper house was withholding supply, so the Staten Island Ferry was not operating and we went out with a private cruise company. We spent a great deal of time looking at the main attraction The Statue of Liberty and then the rest of the landmarks around the harbour. It was an amazing experience. After the cruise we explored the surrounding district on foot and we then took the big red bus again seeing many of the attractions we had seen at night. We eventually stopped at the Rockefeller Centre and went up to the observation deck where there were amazing views of everything from Central Park to the Empire State Building. After the Rockerfeller Centre we saw Radio City Music Hall which is famous for great entertainment and then made our way on foot back to our hotel.
We had a farewell dinner with Gary, our guide, at a restaurant near our hotel and then just walked around soaking in the atmosphere.
