Our day in Quebec started with a historic walk and carriage ride. We walked through quaint Petit Champain in the lower city to view some of the historic churches and monuments and shops; we then took the funicular up to Chateau Frontenac where we stayed previously on the land portion of our tour and took a horse and carriage ride around points of interest of the upper city. Quebec was looking particularly beautiful as the decorations for Harvest Festival were still in place and the trees had their autumn colours.
After the tour we took the funicular back to the lower city and completed our tourist shopping.
In the evening we went on a tour of the Ghosts of Old Quebec. As we walked the cobbbestone streets of the old city our costumed guide regaled us with tales going back 300 years of murder, ghost sightings and haunting.
